Product Description
What is the pillow plate?
The pillow plate consists of two stainless steel sheets that are laser welded together by welding a custom circular weld pattern. The inflation process pressurizes the two sheets, deforming the material and forming a cavity for the heat transfer medium. This inner cavity facilitates efficient fluid flow and heat transfer, enabling the pillow plate to handle liquids, vapors, or refrigerants effectively.
In addition to the inner channel, the space between adjacent pillow plates (outer channel) also allows fluid to flow. This enables heat exchange with external mediums, ensuring uniform temperature distribution and optimizing the overall heat transfer process.
This dual-channel design-combining inner and outer fluid pathways-makes pillow plates a compact and efficient heat exchanger solution for industrial cooling, heating, and energy recovery applications.
